Basic course "Let's Step it Up!" which is a continuation of the legendary program "Let's Team Up" by Anastasiia Beaumont - Vice-Champion of Europe in dog dancing and a successful dog trainer with over 10 years of experience. "Let's Step it Up!" is designed for those who want to develop concentration and attention in their dog, as well as learn to work with her state and distractions so that walks, training sessions, and performances are stress-free and yield better results. After all, it's often in such challenging situations that dogs start to get distracted and lose contact with us.

The course is suitable for you if:

  • Your dog listens to you when you're at home or when there's no one around, but when you're outside and other people/dogs are present, she stops paying attention to you

  • You can't keep your dog's attention, and she quickly gets distracted by distractions and the surrounding environment

  • You experience stress during walks and training sessions because your dog doesn't listen or see you

  • You get nervous at competitions because you're afraid your dog will get distracted, and your performance won't go as planned

  • You want to learn to work with your dog's state, help her maintain focus, quickly switch to work mode, and switch to relaxation if she's over-excited

  • Or you've been competing with your dog for a long time, and your goal is to improve your results in various sports.

The course consists of 42 theoretical and practical video lessons:

  1. How to work with your dog in any environment and under any conditions: transferring skills to the street, to noisy places, working off-leash
  2. How to teach your dog to listen to commands, distinguish them, and do not anticipate them
  3. How to properly engage your dog in work
  4. How to work with distractions so that your dog doesn't get distracted and maintains contact with you
  5. How to make your dog want to work with you and be motivated even without treats and toys
  6. Working with your dog's states: how to speed up slow dogs and teach focus and calmness to more excitable ones.
  7. How to teach your dog to work for an extended period without reinforcement
  8. How to use the exercises from the course for warming up your dog and preparing for entering the ring
  9. How to properly prepare your dog for competitions

After the course and application of knowledge in practice, you will:

  • Learn to be with and work with your dog in any environment and under any conditions without stress. You'll be able to stay at the center of your dog's attention despite distractions

  • No longer worry that your dog will run away from you or stop listening when you release her from the leash

  • Achieve calm behavior from your dog in the presence of other people and dogs. You'll enjoy walks and training sessions with your dog stress-free, even when off-leash

  • Learn to work with your dog's state: quickly adjust her to work mode and quickly calm her down if she's over-excited

  • And finally, take a step forward in sports and relationships with your dog, improving your competition results

FAQ

  • Will this course be suitable if I have a puppy?

This course is designed for an "advanced" level or for puppies aged 6+ months, when you are already regularly going outside and starting training. If you are just starting training with your puppy at home and have not studied the basics of upbringing, I recommend starting with the "Let’s team up" course.

  • Will this course be suitable if I have an adult dog?

Yes! Dogs can be trained at any age. This course can be started with puppies aged 6+ months as well as with adult dogs. The main thing is that you already have a behavioral foundation that you will transfer to outdoor and other environments. If you are just starting to build a relationship with your dog, I recommend starting with the "Let’s team up" course.

  • We have already tried training with a dog trainer, but it didn't yield results. Is it worth trying again or is my dog untrainable?

Definitely YES! There are different approaches to training, and perhaps the previous method didn't suit your dog, but that doesn't mean she's untrainable. This course is based on a modern method of positive reinforcement so that your dog learns with joy and pleasure. In it, you will find all the basics to engage your dog in learning and achieve the desired result. :)

  • If I don't plan to do sports with my dog, is the course suitable for me?

Yes! The ability to work with your dog's state and distractions is needed not only for competitions but also in your everyday life to make her more comfortable. Thanks to the course, you will spend time with your dog among other people and dogs with pleasure and without stress :)

  • Is the course suitable if my dog has aggression issues?

If you have a reactive dog that aggressively reacts to other people or animals, then in this case, I recommend attending in-person courses with a specialist in this field to be able to monitor your dog's reactions at the moment the problem arises.

  • I'm worried that online classes won't work for me. How effective are online classes in general?

All my students note the accessibility of information and the ease of completing the programs! Under each video, you will find a text explanation detailing all the steps on how to correctly perform the exercise. Follow the instructions carefully, and you will succeed ;)

  • How relevant is the course for those who are already training with their dogs and participating in competitions?

Results in training and competitions depend not only on the number of tricks you know and not only on how your contact is built. It's important to be able to work with your dog's state, adjust her to work, and switch her to a resting state. Therefore, this course will help even active competition participants improve their results by properly preparing themselves and their dogs to work in any circumstances and with any distractions. I've also dedicated a separate section to working in the ring.

  • My dog behaves normally at home, but I can't handle her outside. Will the course include exercises for such situations?

Yes, this course is specifically designed for those who want to achieve calm behavior from their dog in the presence of other people and dogs. You will learn to manage your dog's attention and state so that your walks are enjoyable and stress-free.
