Course “Move to Groove: Mastering Dogdance Sequences” by Anastasiia Beaumont — European Vice Champion in Dog Dancing and a successful dog trainer with over 10 years of experience. This course is designed for those who have already mastered basic tricks and want to learn how to combine them into fluid sequences, dance freely, and work with their dog without constant guiding. This course is perfect for dog owners who want to move in harmony with their 4-legged partner, develop dance skills, and teach their dog to respond to verbal cues without getting distracted by body movements.

This course is for you if:

  • You’ve already learned basic tricks but don’t know how to combine them into fluid sequences and build a dance.

  • You want to teach your dog to perform tricks without luring, so you can dance freely and he stays focused without being distracted by your movements.

  • You’d love to learn simple and beautiful dance sequences, but you’re unsure how to coordinate tricks with your own movements.

  • You dream of creating a mini-choreography with your dog but don’t know where to begin.

  • You want your movements with your dog to look smooth and connected, not like a random collection of tricks.

The course includes 40 step-by-step lessons that will guide you through the fundamentals of working with your dog without luring, and help you easily and enjoyably master 8 dancing sequences—which you’ll then combine into a mini dance routine!

As a bonus, you’ll also receive a recording of a webinar on movement, where you’ll dive deeper into topics like rhythm, music selection, and learn one more mini choreography!

Move to Groove: Mastering Dogdance Sequences

After completing the course and applying the knowledge in practice, you will:

  • Learn 8 dance sequences and 2 mini-routines.

  • Master how to combine tricks into smooth, harmonious sequences and seamlessly integrate them into a complete choreography.

  • Perfect transitions between tricks to make your dance look natural and professional.

  • Understand how to feel the rhythm and synchronize movements with the music, creating a cohesive performance.

  • Teach your dog to work with verbal cues, allowing you to move freely and confidently during your dance.

FAQ

  • What is needed to start the course? Are there any required skills or knowledge beforehand? Do I need special equipment or a specific training space?

To start the course, you need just one thing: the desire to learn and grow with your dog!
Your dog should already be familiar with basic tricks (such as "spins", "going around you", “middle position” and "weaving under your legs"). In this course, we focus on combining those tricks into sequences and creating a dance.
No special equipment is needed – all exercises can be performed on a flat, safe surface, whether at home, in a hall, or outdoors. The most important thing is that your dog feels comfortable moving, and you find a convenient place to train!

  • What is the difficulty level of the course? If I just started training my dog, will I be able to handle it?

The course is designed for those who have already mastered basic tricks with their dog, even at a beginner level. You don’t need extensive experience in dog dancing or dancing in general – all lessons are structured in a simple, step-by-step manner.
We start with the basics and gradually move to more complex material. Each element is broken down into small, easy-to-understand steps, so you can learn at your own pace without overwhelming yourself or your dog.

  • Is the course suitable for me if I don’t plan to compete in dog dancing events?

Absolutely! The course “Move to Groove: Mastering Dogdance Sequences” is not only for those planning to compete.
If you want to learn how to dance with your dog for fun, strengthen your bond, spend quality time together, and develop your dog's physical and mental abilities, this course is perfect for you.
The tricks, sequences, and mini-choreographies are first and foremost a way to enhance your communication with your dog. And if you later decide to compete or show off your dance to friends and followers, you’ll be fully prepared!

  • What problems can this course solve if I’ve already tried dog dancing with my dog?

If you’ve already tried dog dancing with your dog but feel your movements don’t flow into smooth sequences and you're unsure how to move to the music, this course is perfect for you. It will help you learn how to smoothly combine tricks into cohesive and harmonious sequences, understand how to select the right transitions between elements, teach your dog to work more freely and confidently without constant luring, develop your rhythm, and learn how to present movements to music. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to build mini-choreographies where all movements look intentional and beautiful, turning individual tricks into a true dance!

  • My dog is not yet fully confident with basic tricks. Can I start the course with them?

If your dog knows basic tricks but sometimes performs them incorrectly, you can still start the course and work on reinforcing those skills simultaneously.
However, if your dog is not yet performing basic elements confidently (such as turns, weaving, or going around you), and each trick is a challenge, I recommend first working through a program that focuses on the basics, such as the “Tricks for Beginners” course.
The “Move to Groove: Mastering Dogdance Sequences” course is designed for those who already have a basic foundation and are ready to move on to sequences and mini-choreographies.

  • Can my dog participate if they don’t perform all the tricks perfectly or need extra assistance?

Yes, of course! Perfect trick execution is not required for this course.
What matters is that your dog understands the basic commands and is motivated to work with you. Throughout the course, we will learn how to link tricks, build sequences, work without luring, and present the movements beautifully – you can improve the quality of execution as you progress.

  • What age of dog is ideal for starting the course? Are there any age restrictions for participating? Does the course work for younger or older dogs?

The course is suitable for dogs of almost any age – both young and older pets.
It’s important that your dog is physically healthy and ready for light physical activity. Young dogs can join if they already know basic tricks and can confidently perform commands without stress. Older dogs can also participate – working on sequences and mini-choreographies will help keep their mental activity and physical fitness in good shape.
If your dog has any health concerns, it’s recommended to consult a veterinarian before starting the course.

  • Will this course be suitable for me if my dog constantly gets distracted during training and struggles to focus? How can I help my dog stay focused on training without getting distracted by external stimuli?

If your dog often gets distracted during training and has difficulty focusing on working with you, I recommend starting with a theoretical course on motivation, as well as the “Let’s team up” and “Let’s step it up” practical courses.
In these programs, we specifically work on developing motivation, focus, and your dog’s resilience to external distractions. This will create a solid foundation that will make it much easier to work on tricks and master dog dancing.
The “Move to Groove: Mastering Dogdance Sequences” course is designed for dogs who already know how to maintain focus on the handler during training.
